I hope Mark Twain was wrong when he said "History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme."

But I kind of doubt it.

Had Obama been elected in 2060, write down the name of his secretary because then you will know the future! (Alas, I don't think tightly coupled irony does ever repeat.)

While a lot of those similarities are true, a lot of them are meaningless. Plus, no one cares about all the differences, right.

I thought Oswald assassinated Kennedy, now you are telling me Lincoln did it?
